740 Small Dias Circuit

Not overly strenuous circuit above Kappl with two interesting alternatives. Starting from the center in Kappl, you head up on paved minor roads to the Oberhaus district, at the end of which a forest road begins. The ascent through the forest is not overly steep, where after just under 5 km you reach the summer-closed Gongall-Bahn valley station. One kilometer later you reach the Dias Alpe. As with route 738 Große Dias Runde (page 78), you now have several options for continuing. The normal circuit path leads from here on pleasant forest roads with a gentle descent through the Wolfgangwald down to Kappl. One variant continues uphill to the Almstüberl, where views and a place to stop and eat beckon. All downhill riders choose the Dias-Trail (route 7088, page 88) for the descent to Kappl, whose entry is directly on the route.
