The Romuvaara Freeride area in Kuhmo offers 1300 hectares of deep snow snowmobiling in stunning natural landscapes and provides an opportunity to enjoy the winter wilderness at its best.
The Romuvaara Freeride area in Kuhmo offers an excellent opportunity for deep snow snowmobiling on a large 1300-hectare area. The area is located about 25 km from the center of Kuhmo and can be reached along the snowmobile trail. By car, you can access the area from Lentiirantie via Riihivaara road and Sarvijärventie if the city has plowed the road. Otherwise, the route is by snowmobile on the snowmobile trail.
The Romuvaara Freeride area offers snowmobilers diverse challenges and opportunities to enjoy powder snow and untouched nature. The size and natural diversity of the area make it an ideal place for both experienced snowmobilers and newcomers.
Snowmobiling requires special care and caution. There are streams in the area whose ice is not always load-bearing, so it is important to be careful when crossing them. Additionally, while moving in the area, you may encounter local animals, such as moose. It is important to remember not to disturb animals or other nature during snowmobiling.
