Avignon and Orange

Enjoy one last time the view from your room's garden terrace over the natural pond onto the vast pastures of the typical Camargue horses and bulls. From the Hotel L'Estelle en Camargue, you drive 77 km to Avignon. The former capital of Christendom offers an exceptionally beautiful cultural heritage: the Papal Palace, the city walls, and the bridge of Avignon. With the famous song (sur le pont d’Avignon, on y danse, on y danse…) you continue 33 km to Orange to the theater of Orange. "La plus belle muraille de mon royaume," as King Louis XIV affectionately called the stage wall of the theater, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. After visiting the theater, you continue north (43 km) until you arrive after about 45 minutes at the Hotel Le Clair de la Plume.
