Stage 6: Through the Verwall Group

This stage leads right at the beginning from the Friedrichshafener Hut to the Schafbichljoch at 2,636 m. Past the high-altitude Schottensee, the descent continues into Fasultal. Along the Fasulbach, you go further down the valley to the unmanaged Fasulhütte, where the creek is crossed by a wooden bridge. Shortly after, you stand "Beim Kugelten Stein" between the slopes of the mighty peaks of Patteriol (3,056 m) to the left, Kuchenspitze (3,151 m) and Küchlspitze (3,147 m) to the right. Shortly before the Konstanzer Hut, the creek is crossed again and the path leads up the slopes to Kuchenjöchli at 2,730 m. From there, the descent begins via Apothekerweg to the stage destination Darmstädter Hut.

Alpine variant: The demanding "Ludwig-Dürr-Weg": Over the Muttenalpe and the Lumpaschadseele to Dürrschartli at 2,666 m. 3.7 km further over the high alpine trail over scree and snowfields. Over the Schönpleispass to Zwischengrat at 2,770 m. It continues with snowfields and steep sections to Rautejoch at 2,752 m. Descent to Darmstädter Hut.
