Sivý vrch from Bobrovec
Sivý vrch (1805 m above sea level) is part of the Western Tatras and is accessible both from the Húty area and from Bobrovec. The route to it is not among the most demanding, but it is definitely one of the most beautiful. Especially the views of Liptov and Orava are worth it.
You start the route to Sivý vrch at the beginning of the Bobrovec valley, specifically in the Bobrovec Lime Quarry area, where free parking is available. The route follows the blue trail past the Calvary along the forest road through the Pod Babkami junction to the Chata pod Náružím, where you can refresh yourself. The route continues on the blue trail to Sedlo Predovratie, from which it climbs on the green trail up to Sivý vrch (1805 m above sea level). You can return by the identical route, but you can enrich your route by visiting Babky peak (1566 m above sea level) with its unique view, and then join the original route at the Pod Babkami junction. Along the route, you can stop at a partisan bunker. It is a cave with photographs and descriptions where partisans hid.
