Tohnin kirkkotie

In the history of Töysä's Tohnin, it is told that Tohnin äijä was the builder of the stone church in Isokyrö. On one of his journeys, he carried a large stone boulder he had picked from Lapua's Simpsiö to Isokyrö. Even today, the window under the large stone built into the western end of the church is called Tohnin akkunan. The route passes through the centers of Kuortane, Lapua, Ylistaro, and Isokyrö. These places have restaurants, shops, museums, accommodation options, and service stations where you can also charge an electric bike battery. This route has two magnificent churches: Ylistaro's Komia church, which is one of the largest churches in Finland, and the old church of Isokyrö from the 1500s.

The route provides a diverse cross-section of Southern Ostrobothnian nature. Open plains, that is, large open field landscapes, turn into hilly forest roads especially at Lapua's Simpsiö. Along the route are the Sarvikas rapids, located in Ylijoen village in Kuortane. The Sarvikas rapids consist of five rapids with a water route length of 3.6 km. For fishing enthusiasts, the rapids are an interesting destination. Accommodation is also available nearby.

There are also gravel road sections along the route, for example, the Uusitie at the southern end of the route is a gravel road going through the forest.
