Kayak route on the beautiful Vils
Up for whitewater? Then book your outdoor adventure at
The Vils flows through a pristine valley from the Tannheimer Tal to Pfronten.
The entry point is in Schattwald near Kaufhaus Lutz. Here we walk to the river and set off. Immediately, the crystal-clear water carries us away and we drift through the beautiful mountain landscape.
At the reservoir, we must get out and carry the boats down along the pipes on the left. Fortunately, the water is directed back into the riverbed after a few hundred meters and we can get back in at the power plant house. Away from roads, houses, and civilization, the Vils now makes its way through the remote valley.
After a large pasture, the valley narrows and the main section with 3 fun drops follows. This section can easily be portaged on the left along the road.
Then follow some great play spots and rest areas before the route ends at the parking lot.
