The routes of the Holzkirchen running park run outside the town on agricultural, field, and forest paths with changing surfaces. Adjust your running style accordingly.Tips and suggestions
The Holzkirchen running park is a joint product of the market town of Holzkirchen and the RSLC-Holzkirchen. On 10 signposted rounds, you can discover and experience Holzkirchen's surroundings perfectly from a running perspective. Starting points with overview boards can be found at the BaTuSa leisure pool and at the Holzkirchen station (east side).Roadbook
We start at the BaTuSa leisure pool and follow Baumgartenstraße in a southwest direction. Just behind the primary and middle school, we turn left into Holzstraße; after this, we cross Tölzer Straße and continue along Hischbergstraße heading south. At the first intersection, we keep left and follow Setzbergstraße, which takes us to Wallbergstraße and finally to the cemetery on Thanner Straße.
On the footpath, we continue southwards along Thanner Straße to the hamlet of Thann, characterized by horse farms, where we turn right. Past the village pond, we immediately turn left again and follow a small lane south. From here, wonderful views of the Frauenberg Chapel in the neighboring Sufferloh are visible. We pass a forested area with a small elevation on the left and a farmstead on the right. Our route continues further south until we cross county road MB19 south of Sufferloh. Continuing west, we pass the Thannseidl farmstead, across field and meadow paths to Großhartpenning.
Arriving in the village, we turn right to cross the B13 shortly before the town exit and turn left into Sommeraustraße. At the first fork, we take the left path and then the first right turn. This eventually leads us into the Sommerau forest area, crossing state road 2073 at Baumgarten, continuing through Barabaraholz until we reach Baumgartenstraße in Holzkirchen again. Here we keep left and soon return to the starting point of the route, BaTuSa.
