small Kampen route

Parallel to Westerweg runs the foot and cycle path between List and Westerland. Start on this and head north. At the outskirts of Kampen, take the sandy path that branches off to the right and cross the main street at the pedestrian traffic light. On the other side, stay on the foot and cycle path along the road for a few meters, but then turn directly right onto the sandy path. Now follow the path along the bay for quite a while. On the right, you leave behind the impressive thatched-roof houses and the Axel Springer Castle. On your left, you have a wide view over the Wadden Sea all the way to the Danish mainland. 

If you have also left the Kupferkanne on your right, take the next turn to the right, which is the Wuldeweg. After a few meters, leave this to the right, then immediately turn sharply left again. Walk on the Sjipwai into the town. A short stretch on the Jürgen-Kamp-Wai, then turn right onto Braderuper Weg, a small ascent at the street "Zur Uwe Düne" and then the route is complete and you are back at your starting point.
