Depending on fitness, also a challenging running route, almost everything is easy to run on wide forest paths, here you meet only a few people, but with luck deer, foxes, etc. Also possible as an MTB route, then apart from the elevation meters very easy. Start forest path/Dietrichstal (at Hotel Panoramic). Short on the B27 and L520 road. Continue along the little stream Sperrlutter into the valley of the Breitenbeek. Path first gently uphill to the country road (approx. 11 km). Last 2 km become steeper. Shortly right 20m road, then follow forest path downhill into the Odertal. Only briefly on the Oder, then right on the Morgensternweg uphill, 2nd intersection onto the Kaiserweg. Up to the Lausebuche (bus stop) over the B27 always straight ahead via Kapellenfleck with some ups and downs, later nice slope path to the Lärchenplatz (shelter with view). Follow the upper Scholbenweg via Hassensteinhütte. Finally right onto the Königsteinweg and downhill to the starting point. Route personally run and not only planned on screen. Ascent approx. 680 meters, my running time 3:05 hours Stamp points of the Harzer Wandernadel: Kapellenfleck and Hassenstein, at approx. km 13.5 detour to Rinderstall approx. 600m possible.

    Author’s recommendation

No supply or refreshment or water point directly on the route. Many worthwhile detours depending on time and fitness, e.g. to the mountain Stöberhai (very steep). If desired, you can then go to the adventure pool VITAMAR, approx. 1 km.
