Recommended maps for this region:
Equipment
Shoes: alpine trail running shoes with excellent grip and tread (rocky, high-alpine terrain).
Clothing: windproof and weather-resistant trail clothing (layering system). As the route often stays above 2,500 m, it can be cold and windy on the ridge even in summer.
Nutrition: sufficient fluids (at least 1.5 liters) and energy bars, as there are no refreshment points along the ridge.
Other: smartphone with offline map/GPS, first-aid kit, sun protection, and possibly foldable trail running poles.
