Large Schlossberg round

The first 1.5 km through the city. From the Stadtgarten, 0.5 km steep uphill to Kanonenplatz with a view of the old town. Then 4 km moderately ascending above the Dreisamtal valley to Sankt Ottilien. Back on the Schokoladenweg (single trail) continuing uphill. After 8 km, it finally goes downhill into Glasbachtal. After about 1 km, you reach a junction. To the left, it continues downhill to a pond (see variants). However, you keep right, uphill again. After about 1 km, there are numerous forks. Follow the main path downhill to the hiking park and playground. From there, left for about 1 km down along the Altbach, probably the most beautiful section. You pass under a railway bridge, immediately turn left and reach a bike path back to the starting point. Variants: The forest path between Siebenlinden and Sankt Ottilien can be replaced by a parallel trail – costs almost nothing. The steep section to Kanonenplatz can be bypassed by walking up Wintererstrasse (+2.8 km). The minimalist starts at Stadtgarten, goes up Wintererstrasse, and then from the red hut contrary to the recorded route (4.2 km, 120 m elevation). If you find you have planned too much along the route, you can shorten it: - Red Hut, Wintererstrasse (8.0 km, 120 m elevation). - From Siebenlinden directly into Glasbachtal and from there further on the recorded route ().
