Churfranken Run - Stage 3

From the start, it goes uphill for 5.5 km. The Mainstr. is run up, crossing the St 2315 and into the “Hainbuchstrasse.” Via the “Hainbuchstrasse,” the runners reach the forest again. The path leads over paved forest trails up to an altitude of over 500 meters. At this point stands a stone crucifix. Here you meet the Eselsweg, which leads northwards to the Solhöhe. From the Solhöhe, it goes downhill towards Röllbach. You run along the edge of Röllbach and cross the St 2441 at the Röllbach town entrance sign. Across the fields, you then reach the crossing of the MIL 1. After crossing the street, the route goes steeply uphill for a stretch along the Marienweg. At the end of the muddy path, the route makes almost a 180° turn. On a paved forest trail, it goes about 1 km parallel to the slope before the track leaves the path steeply downhill through the undergrowth on the right. Then it continues on beautiful paths through the Klingenberg forest before, 2 km before the stage end, leaving the Röllfelder hiking lodge on the right and running along the slope on the Sonnenweg with magnificent views of the Main between the vineyards towards the final stop at Clingenburg.
