At the Güssing town sign, extremely rough asphalt for a few meters. Watch out here. The surface slows down significantly.Roadbook
The starting point of the route is on the bike path from Güssing to Urbersdorf, at the federal road junction between the towns. There are also parking bays for cars here.
The route is the bike path towards Güssing & Tobaj and is generally well suited for skates.
The first part up to Güssing is characterized by coarse asphalt. At one spot for 5 meters it is even extra coarse. This spot is shortly after the town sign and slows down significantly, caution.
The passage through Güssing is on bike paths and a short part on a side street. Nothing special to note here - typical bike paths. Only caution is advised at the bridge underpasses.
The part from the cultural centre to the first Strem bridge is somewhat mixed - literally. At the beginning, near the Aktiv Park, quite coarse asphalt. Afterwards, at several spots cracked, broken asphalt (at least currently in summer 2021), but even this is no further obstacle.
The last part up to the turn at the Tobaj Strem bridge is - except for a few repaired spots - beautiful smooth asphalt.
Here at the Strem bridge, there is the possibility to take a break on a bench and fill your water bottles (drinking fountain).
Then it goes back the same way.
But first past the starting point, continuing to the Urbersdorf town sign. The last stretch is a fast descent. Turn here and return to the starting point.
The path from the first to the second Strem bridge is by the way a Strava segment (for all who skate on Strava).
