Tips and suggestions

Roadbook
Approach:
Follow the wide hiking trail from the parking lot into the Dorfertal. After about 10 minutes, you need to go down to the stream at a suitable spot and cross it. Caution: risk of slipping! On the other side of the stream (orographically right), walk about 30m downstream and climb the extremely steep snow slope up to the already visible icefall. It is best to set up the backpack cache to the right of the icefall (in the direction of ascent) in an ice-fall-safe place at about 1,570m above sea level.
Route:
The 1st pitch leads straight up over the approximately 85° steep ice bulge (WI4, about 35m, sometimes thin ice!).
The 2nd pitch offers easier climbing in the 2nd and 3rd ice grade (WI2 and WI3, about 40m, often thin ice!).
The 3rd pitch is similarly difficult and sometimes partly has snow to posthole through (snow gully and WI2, about 45m).
The 4th and final pitch forms the crowning, steep finish of the route. In the narrower ice gully, it goes partly vertically up until you can belay on a tree at the exit to the left (possibly no ice) (WI4, about 40m).
Descent:
The best option is to descend via the hiking trail only 15m away.
Those who left their backpacks at the start can also rappel over the tree and ice hourglasses.
