Start:
The Sprudelweg round starts in Hahnstätten district Zollhaus. From the B 54 you turn in Zollhaus towards the town center or Burgschwalbach and immediately reach a large parking lot (Kulturhaus Kreml). It is recommended to do the circular hike clockwise.
Turn south and walk on the road towards Scholau right next to the Aar into the river meadows. The Sprudelweg round is here identical with the Aartal bike route.
Soon on the left side at the forest edge a sign draws attention to the Johannisbrunnen, which you reach via a narrow path into the forest.
Back on the Aartal bike route continue to the Roman spring; a white information sign already draws attention from afar.
Further on the Aartal bike route you leave the bike route at the end of the houses In der Scholau and continue straight ahead towards the forest edge. Along the forest edge it goes towards the outskirts of Rückershausen.
You come out at the sports ground of Rückershausen and keep left. You are now in Hintergasse, cross Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, go into Borngasse and immediately turn right to Antoniussprudel.
Around the southwestern village edge follow the path to a bridge over the Aar. Past the draisine stop and bus stop take a few steps on the B 54 and turn right towards Katzenelnbogen/Dörsdorf.
The path now climbs: the 1st street Auf Bach goes up on the left, at the next fork keep right, walk through a meadow, cross district road 530 and come to the circular path Bärenheck.
Follow the Bärenweg only briefly and turn the 1st path left. Above a terrain hollow – still marked as a pond on maps – take the 1st grassy path before a shed and continue climbing. On the left you see a hiking trail which you finally enter to hike uphill through beech forest.
Almost at the height the Sprudel round trail meets the long-distance hiking trail Flensburg - Genoa. Follow this trail to the right, come past the Mattenbach spring and hike with little elevation change to the next junction. Then it goes uphill and you approach the K 55. Shortly before the district road keep left and hike staying at a height towards the forest edge.
Now continue in front of the forest over the height, where a wide view gradually opens over the varied Taunus landscape. You cross the K 55 (rest area at the forest edge before). The route now runs longer northwest and largely straight ahead.
First keep following the forest edge and finally pass the Allendorf-Berghausen waterworks. With distant views descend through the fields. The unpleasant to walk gravel path ends shortly before district road 54.
Keep right here and come to the B 274. Cross the federal road (caution! Quite unclear!) and follow the access road to the quarry. Beware trucks! Past the quarry truck scale keep right immediately and see an endlessly straight path. It is called Hessenstraße on the topographic map, also the Loreley-Aar bike route joins here. This does not promise a pleasant hiking experience! For four, five kilometers a hiker can actually switch on the automatic mode, almost close eyes and just walk straight ahead slightly downhill mostly through beech forest.
Attention, leave the forest highway in “Texas” and take the steeper hollow way down to Zollhaus on the right! At the end you reach B 274, then the roundabout with B 54. Here follow B 54 a few steps north and turn the 1st street right into Zollhaus. You are immediately back at the parking lot, the starting point of the Sprudelweg round
