#Uffbasse! For consideration and nature conservation

Hiking, walking, strolling, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, trekking, picnicking, forest bathing, chilling, and stopping for refreshments. Holidays and leisure time in the fresh air should be fun and above all relaxing. This works best when we treat ourselves, other people, and nature with care and attentiveness. SO: PAY ATTENTION AND THINK ALONG! Be considerate of everyone on the path and especially of nature, so that we can still enjoy it in the distant future.

At www.pfalz.de/uffbasse we have listed some behavior tips for considerate and careful coexistence.

    Safety information

Despite markings, we recommend carrying an appropriate hiking map for safety reasons, so that you can quickly find a safe area, for example in case of a thunderstorm or emergency.

Especially in autumn, pay attention that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal uneven terrain, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After storms, trees may still fall or branches may drop afterwards. Especially in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. Not all rocks or chasms are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is sometimes required. If you believe that certain sections of the path are not walkable, you should avoid them.

Caution is always advised on all hiking trails in snow and ice!

    Equipment

Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, sun and rain protection, as well as sufficient supplies of food and drinks should be taken along in case there are no dining or shopping options available or open. Although the path is well marked, for safety reasons you should always carry a suitable hiking map.
