In 2006, the Rosengarten hiking trail was inaugurated, thus initiating the vineyard hike "Roses, wine and more..." The Kapellen rose hike laid the foundation for the first rose days in 2008 with the Sleeping Beauty coronation in Dörrenbach and the then newly established rose market in Bad Bergzabern. These were expanded in 2011 to the "Rose weeks in the Bad Bergzabern region."
All information about the Rose weeks in the Bad Bergzabern region can be found here: https://badbergzabernerland.suedlicheweinstrasse.de/veranstaltungen-2/rosenwochen
Regardless of the Rose weeks of the Bad Bergzabern region, of course, you can hike the rose trail all year round.

Safety information
Due to the current situation:

General information:
Especially in autumn, it should be noted that fallen leaves on the ground can hide unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees may still fall or branches may drop afterward. Especially under adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in some places. You must expect such trail impairments when hiking. If you think certain trail sections are impassable for you, you should bypass them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting groups on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please observe the instructions for your own safety.
