The circular route begins at the Maasberg car park and initially follows a field path along the K 20. After a few meters, the path leads into the forest. The gravel path runs along the valley through the species-rich mixed deciduous forest to the hamlet "Neues Leben". After gaining some elevation, we reach the rest area "Hubertuslust". Here we also encounter the forest educational trail. Past the fish ponds in the Faulenpfuhl, we leave the forest heading south. After a short climb, we reach the golf course of the Hotel Maasbergtherme. Via terrain steps, past the Hotel Maasbergtherme, we reach the hiking car park again after 6.5 km.

The tour is especially recommended during the orchid bloom. Numerous orchids bloom along the roadside above the hotel complex.

From the Maasberg hiking car park, we follow the signposts "Neues Leben". We take the circular route clockwise and turn directly onto the field path at K20. Before the group of houses in the forest, we first turn left at the fork in the path. At the height of the row of houses, we turn right onto the asphalt path. Following the signs, we walk north. The circular route leads around Kahlenberg to the rest area "Hubertuslust". At the Fischres Oak, the path branches off to the south. Along the valley floor, we walk towards the Hotel Maasberg Therme.
