Those who bring a bit more time and leisure to the herb village of Irschen will experience colorful and fragrant meadows and many private home gardens outside the village center, showing beautiful, natural garden designs.

A) The Forest and Meadow Walk in Stresweg (Bird Paradise)

Starting from Hotel-Restaurant Landhof Irschen, the flower hike leads into the so-called "Bird Paradise."
A quiet forest and natural flower meadows accompany the short hike (about 1 hour)

 B) The Mountain Villages Hike

An extensive hike leads up the sunny mountain slopes to the mountain village Leppen.
On a beautiful narrow forest path, you cross the Mödritschbach at about 1000 m altitude and
then reach Rosmarie’s Mountain Herb Garden in the mountain village Griebitsch. Return via an old church and forest trail to Irschen. (about 2 hours)

C) The Alpine and Mountain Hikes above the Herb Village of Irschen

Magnificent alpine and mountain hikes start at Leppner Alm (1700 m altitude). From there, there are well-marked and signed hiking trails to neighboring alpine pastures, scenic peaks, or the "Knappensee" hiking rest area at the foot of the Scharnik, as well as to the Kreuzeck group.
