Germany is Moving - Course (HK25)

You don’t necessarily have to walk with Nordic walking poles, but this route is perfect for beginners. Flat, easy to walk, simply ideal to try out Nordic walking poles once. The route is also part of the program "Germany is Moving", which was launched by Barmer, BILD am Sonntag and ZDF in 2003. We start after studying the warm-up exercises and information boards at the car park. We turn right and cross the street. We still walk on tarmac, but soon the path changes to gravel. We turn left and follow Sonnershofweg to Sonnershof. Passing lush meadows with cows grazing contentedly, you can really breathe deeply. At the beginning of the hamlet Sonnershof, we turn right and now enter the forest. The shady forest path is a relief. Above the federal highway, we come out and then turn in a left curve down to the Steinsäge, then after a short section climb back into the forest up to the Wackersberger height. A good part of the path now runs through the forest until we reach the roof caves. Here you find a board of the Geo-Cultural Path with explanations about the formation of the caves. We follow the path until it turns left and runs back to Sonnershof. The forest repeatedly opens and offers views of the beautiful landscape. After the hamlet Sonnershof we now turn right to follow the access road. The path forks and we take the left path back through a small forest and along meadows to Wackersberger Straße. We turn left and come directly to the car park.
