after passing the alpine huts, the trail turns left and crosses the eastern slope heading north toward a ridge on the north side of Großsee.
Just a few meters beyond that lies the well-hidden Märchensee. From the Großsee, we follow a small trail eastward to the Tauplitzsee.
From the northern shore of the Tauplitzsee, we pass the Marburger Hütte and continue to the Steirersee—undoubtedly the most beautiful lake in the Tauplitzalm.
We walk back along the right side of the Steirersee and make a short ascent to the saddle leading to the Schwarzensee.
