Die Voralpenlandschaft des Chablais im Süden des Léman, des Genfersees, ist so ganz anders als das Hochgebirge des restlichen Wallis. Mit dem Lac de Taney birgt sie ein fast mystisch wirkendes Wanderziel für die ganze Familie.

> Beim Plarkplatz Le Flon 1 finden Sie den Wegweiser "Col de Taney, Taney", der nach rechts zeigt. Von dem breiten Schotterweg, der in den Wald führt, zweigen Sie schon nach wenigen Schritten links auf einen steinigen Pfad ab und wandern ziemlich steil bergwärts. Unterwegs treffen Sie dreimal auf den rauen Fahrweg, dem Sie nach 50 Minuten links über den Waldsattel des Col de Taney 2 (1440 m) folgen. Dahinter geht’s flach in 10 Minuten an einigen Ferienhäusern vorbei zum Westufer des wunderbar gelegenen Lac de Taney 3 (1415 m).

Bei den beiden Einkehrstationen biegen Sie rechts Richtung "Prélagine, Miex Vesenard" auf die Tour du Lac ab. Vorbei an einer kleinen Halbinsel führt der

Pfad in die steilen Blockwaldhänge über den Felsabstürzen des Nordufers. Nach einem kurzen Anstieg bleiben Sie bei einer Gabelung rechts und wandern zur Ostbucht des Sees hinunter. Von dort kommen Sie rechts auf einem Fahrweg wieder zum Col de Taney 2. 45 Minuten.
