Yukon - Kluane National Park: Three-day hike Ä’äy Chù (Slim's River) West
Wild three days to Observation Mountain
Raging rivers, wild bears, high mountains, huge glaciers, and plenty of wilderness. A hike of superlatives.
Welcome to the realm of mountains and ice! That is how UNESCO calls Kluane National Park in Yukon and Alaska, as it is the area with the largest contiguous ice fields outside the poles. On the three-day hike along the riverbed of Ä’äy Chù (Slims River) we get very close to the glacier tongue of Kaskawulsh. On the way, several raging glacier rivers must be crossed - a real challenge. We move on the tracks of bears and wolves. Every hiker must register beforehand at the Tourist Information of Parks Canada. All food, tent, and other camping equipment as well as a bear box must be carried along. A great adventure in the solitude of Canada. As a reward, you will find views, colors, experiences, and adventures far from civilization.
