This tour offers insightful views of the hilly surroundings of Wolnzach and takes a wide circle through hop gardens, fields, forests, and small villages. The scenic highlight is certainly the four larger forest areas, which are crossed on wonderful hiking trails. But also the distant views into the Danube valley and to the Franconian Alb, several small chapels, and the remains of the medieval fortifications near Wolnzach leave a lasting impression along the way. And what actually makes this "adventure loop" so adventurous? Well, you definitely need a certain amount of connection to nature, terrain adaptability, and pioneering spirit to find the right route again and again over more than 25 km, often in great solitude, and to stay steady until the end – but if these conditions are met, an extraordinary tour awaits the hiker here in the heart of Hallertau.
From the parking lots at Platz des Hopfens on the east side of the Hopfenmuseum, if we turn our backs to the museum, we go left past the buildings in front of us, cross Kellerstraße at a pedestrian crossing and take Stieglberg street. After about 100 m, turn left into Blütenstraße and continue straight through Nelkenweg uphill to the outskirts on Schinderberg (transmission mast). Now straight ahead through the forest and descending to the next road junction; turn right here and walk about 600 m to an intersection of four asphalt roads at the edge of the forest. Here we turn left and hike northeast through the forest ("Brand") uphill. At the end of the forest, we enter an idyllic hilly landscape with hop fields and see ahead the further course of the path, which is no longer asphalted from here. It soon leads steeply up to the next hilltop where, at an old wayside cross, we have a wide view to the north and can see the chimneys of large industrial plants in the Danube valley. The path
