This circular hike initially takes us from Neustadt to the ruins of Wolfsburg, before reaching the popular excursion destination Weinbiet and returning to the starting point via the Mussbachtal.

Wolfsburg Castle was built around the 13th century to protect the trade route from Neustadt to Kaiserslautern. During the Thirty Years' War, it served as a refuge for the population and was eventually burnt down by imperial troops in 1633.
