The hiking trail initially runs on a paved path eastwards and after 1.5 km turns right to the 1st Wolfsgrube. Following the marking on a natural path, the 2nd Wolfsgrube is reached after about 200 m. After a slight ascent, the former charcoal kiln with its reconstructed entrance is located about 500 m away. The marked circular route leads to the 3rd Wolfsgrube at a distance of 1 km. The return route leads over a paved forest path through magnificent deciduous forests or from the 3rd Wolfsgrube on a natural shortcut downhill back to the starting point (mouse marking).

Refreshments are possible at the Königsberg castle ruin.
