Wigger Castle

The well-signposted hiking route passes along the east side of the Rosenberg retirement home, crosses the road leading into the Rietel, and continues up to the Galgeberg. You only notice the Aargau / Lucerne canton border when the yellow hiking signs display the Lucerne coat of arms. Starting from the children's playground in Wikon, the hiking trail leads steeply up to Wikon Castle. A break on the viewing terrace is worthwhile, as there is a beautiful view over the entire lower Wiggertal. After enjoying the view, the hike continues through the Riedwald forest to Neuhof and over Mösli, Fenchrüti to Pt. 634 at Bottensteinerstrasse. This road is crossed, and after barely 50 meters, you reach a fork where two hiking trails diverge. The path branching left leads westward over Pt. 603 to Hirschpark. Before heading back to the city, it's worth taking a look from Zofingen Heiternplatz into the Wiggertal.
