This route starts at the inn in Rückstetten, but can be well combined with Circular Route No. 23 (Griesacker Way) (total 17 km - 4 hrs.)
From Rückstettener Wirt via Grießacker, turn left at the car workshop towards Solling; down the road to the left, past the Schnaitter Pond; turn right before the railway line; 1 km along the railway embankment, then right on the road over Vordereck and Mittereck to Weitmoos; walk through the Weitmoos on the moor path (a rich fauna and flora in the extensive moor area); then right turn towards Maria Tann; a worthwhile detour leads through the high forest to the local forest chapel; return the same way back to our circular route; now to the south, first in the high forest, then further along the forest edge to the railway; right to Hofholz, shortly after left over the railway bridge to Hunkling; at the last farmhouse turn left, on the meadow path over Bücheln to Ed (beautiful mountain panorama for photography enthusiasts: after bad weather days the northern barrier of the remaining cloud cover at the Alps), there descend left (field cross) to the forest edge, then follow right alongside the railway back to the starting point.
