Wehr: Middle Wolfrist Route

From the parking lot at the recreational center in Wehr, 370m, we first head west, cross the Wehra on a bridge, and then keep right parallel to Industriestraße. Before the large factory site, we stay left and follow the yellow diamond markers past the new development area out into open fields. A gentle ascent leads us up to the signpost Zelgrain, 425m. With a bit of luck, you can enjoy magnificent distant views of the Alps here. Now turn left and a few hundred meters further to the junction Stalden, 406m, where we meet the Wehrer Erdmannsweg. Together with the attractively designed theme trail, we continue to the right. We pass some information boards explaining the origin of a dry valley or explaining what a doline is. A doline field with a collapse doline is located a few meters to the right of the path in a meadow. Shortly before the outskirts of Hasel, we follow the yellow circles with the Nordic walking route numbered two to the right. Through undulating terrain, we reach a cross street on the Hummelberg, 440m, with an agricultural building on the right. Now turn right and through the forest to a rise with a bench, 459m, where several paths meet. For us, it goes right on the Zankhölzleweg, a wide forest path. We continue to follow the yellow Nordic walking signs. On a gentle descent, we arrive just before the dam wall of the Wehr reservoir, 403m, which can be reached via a short detour. To the right, the asphalt road leads back towards Wehr, along the way some information boards explain the local fauna. Finally, we pass the industrial complex again and meet the route from the beginning, over which we return to the starting point in a few minutes.
