Trail right through the forest with lots of nature. Starting below with macchia and reed, continuing through trees covered with lianas, chestnut trees, past apple orchards, leading to a small waterfall with beautiful rock formations and natural swimming pools. Returning via a relaxed forest road. A great change from beach and sea in high summer.

    Author’s recommendation

Pack swim trunks, towel, and snacks. Insect repellent is helpful. The water at the waterfall is cold but very refreshing. Small frogs jump around playfully in it.

    Safety information

The high path is partly a bit overgrown. Bramble vines or similar can scratch your legs. Sometimes you have to climb over roots and stones, so sturdy shoes are helpful. But it is manageable and not a climbing route; we went with sneakers. The path is consistently marked with a red dot, but the app helps at some turns. Of course, the path can be taken both uphill and downhill, optionally on the trail or forest road, depending on whether you want a bit more wildness and adventure (trail) or rather safety and comfort (forest road).

    Roadbook

Footpath up, break at romantic waterfall with natural swimming pools, forest road down. No dining options.
