Roadbook
We leave the station towards P&R and start walking eastward. At the end of the parking lot, we cross the road and follow a discreet path along the highway noise barrier next to the settlement. We leave the path again shortly before it goes uphill and then follow Lilienweg street in the same direction until it turns left into Tulpenweg. At Donalände-Uferweg we turn right until we reach the tennis court. From there, we walk briefly along the railway until we encounter an asphalted path that leads us under the railway and immediately after over the stream. After crossing the stream, we turn left along the meadow path beside the stream to Eduard Rösch street, which we cross at the roundabout and then continue north on the opposite side following the stream. About 200 meters after the playground, we turn right onto the gravel road towards Leitzersdorf. At the entrance of Leitzersdorf, we turn right into the narrow street and then immediately left down the Feldgasse. Upon reaching Wiesener street, we cross it, walk a few meters to the left, and immediately turn right along Kellergrund. At the end, we turn right and hike up to the Waschberg. Here we occasionally see signposts of the Jakobsweg, which runs in the opposite direction. It's not far to the peak cross of the Waschberg. The view is fantastic here; we see Kreuzenstein Castle, the Vienna skyline, and the entire Tullner Basin. On the descent, we head southeast and walk through the forest past archery practice targets. The archery targets are impressively mounted animal figures. At the archers' parking lot, we turn right and first walk straight towards Kleinwilfersdorf. The first path on the right is our return path to Stockerau. Behind us is the beautiful view of Kreuzenstein Castle. We cross a state road (L25) once again and soon reach the outskirts of Stockerau on field paths. We return through the town on the familiar path back to the station.
