Walk: Grächen to Täsch

From Grächen it’s a short stage to Gasenried, starting by passing through the old village and past dozens of wooden houses and chalets. A short stretch of forest separates the two villages.

From Gasenried, leave the village past wooden farmsteads, before entering forest and crossing the Riedbach stream. The first few km traverse the hillside fairly evenly through the forest. A steep descent on a short set of zig-zags is followed by an ascent of about 200m. The path here is sometimes rough and you will occasionally find ropes to help you across rocky sections. A large amount of your height is then annoyingly lost as you drop towards the village of Herbriggen. 

From Herbriggen, it’s a flat and easy route along the valley floor, never far from the Matter Vispa river. You’ll pass close to the small villages of Breitmatten and Randa along the way. Finish in the village of Täsch.
