The Martell mountain world can truly be described as a haven for three-thousanders, as rarely are so many peaks of this "price class" also affordable for the hiking enthusiast as here. Therefore, another specimen is now to be introduced, this time on the side of the still partially glaciated Zufrittkamm. The anterior Rotspitze rises prominently here in front of the actual ridge line. It can be approached directly from the Martell valley end, where nearly 1000 meters of elevation must be overcome over a short distance, so the route is quite strenuous. Mark Zahel
