From Ronco Canvese, follow the quiet valley road downwards until it crosses the Torrente Forzo. At the next hairpin bend, the road to Bosco turns off to the right. At the fork after about 100m, stay on the lower path. Beyond Bosco, the road turns left towards Masonaie. It leads through a beautiful beech forest along the slope upwards and ends shortly before Masonaie. At the fountain right at the village entrance, the path goes up to the right.
The path first goes through the forest, then over meadows up the valley. The path turns right (south) and leads behind the buildings of Alpe Ciavanis to a fountain (drinking water). Here the path turns left and soon meets a grass-covered forest road. After another hairpin bend, you pass a building before ascending left to the Bocchette di Rosta. Shortly before the Bocchetta, you pass through a hollow way. Roof tiles for the alpine pastures were once quarried here.
At the pass, turn right and follow the slope upwards. At the highest point of the path, there is the possibility to ascend on an indistinct path to the clearly visible summit of Cima Ròsta (approx. 15 min.).
You descend gently along the slope to Colle Crest. Now turn left down the well-visible path to Alpe Rocco. You pass the alpine pasture and follow the ridge. At a clear marking, you must descend slightly to the right before the path clearly continues down the mountain ridge. At 1400m, descend several hairpins on the left slope down to the river. In the valley, you cross the stream and soon arrive at the Prascondù monastery (overnight accommodation).
The path stays on the left side of the river and leads down to Talosio between stone walls. You briefly follow the road downhill. At the village entrance, take the lower road and reach the restaurant after 150m.
