From the Vernagthütte on the descent path down to Vent, past the bridge that crosses the Vernagtbach. At the fork, we choose the left trail, which initially ascends gently, then levels off to a scenic ledge on the slope of the Platteikogel (small lake, nice rest spot). Now with only slight ascents, always with magnificent views into the wide basin that descends from the Mitterkarferner. After crossing two streams, level across to the Breslauer Hütte.
