This rock path starts dramatically but then runs with no significant incline lower on the slope than the Hans-Frieden-Weg and towards attractive scenic destinations, namely the Kienegg guesthouse in the scattered settlement of Vellau and the cozy Saxnerhof shortly before the end of the tour.
By cable car from Dorf Tirol, 640 m, up to the Hochmuth mountain station. Here begins our path 22. It first leads quite exposed but well constructed and equipped with mountain side safety cables through a steep mountain slope. After crossing the Grabbach stream, we follow the descending path 22. At a group of houses on the edge of the scattered settlement Vellau, we turn right and meet a road; we follow it downhill until path 26 crosses. Then we reach – finally with a short ascent – the Kienegg guesthouse, 1101 m. From there, we continue on a service road that soon turns north. After a wide left bend, we turn left and descend on the footpath "Kienegger Weg" to the Saxnerhof, 762 m; it stands in the forest above the orchards and is a wonderful place to relax for more than one reason. Here you can really enjoy yourself, also because the remaining stretch hardly demands anything more.
