From the center of town, walk up towards Santa Maria in Castello. Almost there, turn right and follow the path along the abandoned quarries. Go down towards the Serchio and then climb up to the panoramic point Monte del Legnaio. Descend towards the town along the slopes of Monte Bruceto.
From center walk to Santa Maria in Castello. Just before the Monastery turn righrt and follow the path through abandoned quarries up to the Serchio River. Then go to the panoramic point of Monte del Legnaio and finally return to Vecchiano walking below Monte Bruceto.

Directions
From the Pisa Nord exit of the A11 motorway, turn left onto the SS1 Aurelia. At the traffic light, turn right following directions to Vecchiano. Before the pharmacy, turn left and reach the town center.
From Highway A11 "Pisa Nord" exit, turn left following SS1 Aurelia till a Lamp. Turn links again following vecchiano indication. Near a Pharmacy turn links reaching the center of the town.
Parking
Near the central square there is a parking area for cars (beware of the market day).
Near the central platz it is easy to park a car (pay attention for the day of the marketplace).
