V13 Hugo-Gerbers hut - Greifenburg
If the weather conditions absolutely do not allow you to continue on the magnificent Kreuzeck ridge trail, you can descend directly into the Drava Valley from the Hugo-Gerbers hut and reach Greifenburg in a long, mostly asphalt march (see Stage 14). From there a marked and signposted hiking trail leads downhill through the forest into the nature and herb village of Irschen, 800 m. In the village, the road leads down towards Gröfelhof into the Drava Valley. We cross the Drava Valley road (Federal Road 100) and 300 m later the Drava railway. Immediately after the tracks, we meet the Drava cycle path, 613 m, which we follow to the left. We now hike on the cycle path for a total of 14 km eastwards through the wide valley, crossing on a bridge at the edge of Dellach in the Drava Valley, 614 m, from the northern to the southern riverbank.
