Tyrolean Silver Trail - Stage 4

The fourth day stage, the longest of the five stages compared to the previous day, starts from Mitterweerberg. The path initially leads over a paved mountain road into the recreational forest located above Weerberg. In this section, an exceptionally beautiful panoramic view over the Inn Valley and the Karwendel Mountains is offered repeatedly. Equally impressive is the view of the Kellerjoch mountain area located to the east. From Außerweerberg, the path continues along the Taubenwald at the foot of the Gilfert. Just below the Loassattel, which separates the Gilfert from the Kuhmesser and subsequently from the Kellerjoch, the district of Hochpillberg in the municipality of Pill is reached. Passing the valley station of the Kellerjoch cable car, which allows a short rest at 1,887 meters above sea level, the Tyrolean Silver Trail continues downhill northwards, always with the goal of the silver city Schwaz in sight. Due to the many sights and attractions in the district capital Schwaz, it is worth planning an extra day here for hikers interested in history and culture to explore the sights in detail.
