Starting from the silver town of Schwaz, the last day stage leads over the planting garden and past the Maria Zell Chapel. Afterwards, a section of the scenic Schwazer Knappensteig is walked. Here, the historical sites of mining can be visited and experienced. Only 15 minutes later, the Simon Juda Chapel is passed. The path continues uphill to reach the famous spot of the bull legend, where in 1409 a wild bull supposedly uncovered a silver vein with its horns for the first time. At mid-height, the path initially follows the Vogelsang trail along the impressive gorge of the Bucherbach. The route descends through Hochgallzein and passes the next information station before continuing over the Sailberg into the last of the twelve municipalities, Buch in Tirol. Due to slippery conditions, especially when wet, caution is advised and the use of trekking poles recommended. Shortly before reaching the district of Maurach, the path passes an extraordinary place of power, the Raffau Chapel. The last sights of the circular route are the Rottenburg castle ruins and the Notburga Chapel. The Rottenburg castle ruins used to be Tyrol’s economic center. Nearby is also the imposing Notburga spruce, considered the tallest spruce in Tyrol. From here, it is only a few kilometers until the Inn is crossed again in the Rotholz district and the destination of the long-distance hike, Jenbach train station, comes into sight.
