The first section along the Hansjakobweg to the Fehrenbacher Kreuz is "crisp", then it continues more comfortably. Magnificent views from the Artenberg towards Steinach, from the Dochbach to the other side of the Kinzig, as well as from the Grischthütte and the Trümmleweg onto the Welschensteinacher valley all the way to Nordrach await the hiker.

Legendary spots include the "Heidenschlössle" on the Artenberg, where Christians were once tortured to death by pagans, and the "Fehrenbacher Kreuz", where the former Fehrenbacher farmer, as punishment for his unjust trials and disputes, could not rest after death but had to roam as a black poodle.
