The varied route follows the long southeast ridge of Baranec (2184) up to its summit, then over Smrk (2072) and Plačlivé (2125) to Ostrý Roháč (2088). It then descends past Jamnické Plesá into the long Jamnická Valley, where you can enjoy beautiful paths through the mountain forest. Just before the destination, you will encounter the magical tripoint of valleys where Jamnická Valley merges with Račková to form Úzka Valley.

The entire route follows tourist trails. From the mouth of Úzka Valley, we start on the green trail, which guides us through the entire ascent to Baranec. Here the yellow trail joins, which leads along the ridge to the junction Pod Plačlivým. A short detour to the summit is possible via the red trail. On the other side from the summit of Plačlivé, we continue on the red trail to Ostrý Roháč and to Jamnické Saddle, from where the blue trail leads around Jamnické Plesá into Jamnická Valley. Between the junction under Hrubý vrch and under Smrk, the green tourist trail joins, and our route continues along the green trail through Jamnická Valley back to the starting point.

From road no. 537 connecting Liptovský Hrádok and Vysoké Tatry, we turn (in this direction) at the end of the village Pribylina just after the bridge over Račková to the left towards the mountains.
Note: The road from Liptovský Hrádok towards the bridge leads only to the open-air museum, from which it is still about 3 km to the starting point of the trip and parking there is paid.
