A short and easy hike connects the two alpine club huts via a beautiful hiking trail.

Both huts have a dreamlike location in the Vienna Woods and spoil the tired hiker with culinary delights and good drinks.
From the Josefswarte, located directly next to the Kammersteiner Hut, you can look far into the land in all directions.
In clear weather, you can see far into the Vienna Basin and as far as the Leithagebirge.
From the Teufelstein Hut, there are also great views of the Vienna Woods and into the foothills of the Eastern Alps.

In the 13th century, there was a castle nearby. The name of the Kammersteiner Hut goes back to the Kammerstein ruins.
The Teufelstein Hut is located in the Teufelstein-Fischerwiese nature reserve.
The name "Teufelstein" derives from two interestingly shaped rock blocks.
According to legend, the beautiful view was also called Herrgottstuhl. The devil wanted to destroy this place. He grabbed a mountain and pushed it in front of this spot to destroy the view. This mountain ridge was named "Höllenstein-Zug." Imprints of the devil's hands are supposed to be seen on it. Furthermore, the devil struck the Herrgottstuhl into two parts; the two rocks of today's Teufelstein are said to have originated this way.
Roadbook
From the Kammersteiner Hut, follow the Wiener Wallfahrerweg downhill to the southwest. After about 250 m, follow the signpost to the Teufelstein to the right.
Now continue about another 300 m slightly downhill. There, keep left and you will already see the large sign "ÖAV Teufelsteinhütte." After a short, steep climb, you will shortly reach the beautifully located hut.
