To the Kuchlbauer Tower in Abensberg
This path takes you through hop gardens to the beer art town of Abensberg. From afar, you can recognize the Kuchlbauer Tower by Friedensreich Hundertwasser with its gilded onion dome and the art house. The beer garden in the shadow of the tower invites you to rest and enjoy one of the numerous wheat beers – naturally brewed with the finest raw materials from the Hallertau.

Starting at the new spa center (at the parking garage), the path first leads along Heiligenstädter Street toward Heiligenstadt. Before the town sign, turn left into "Kaiser-Augustus-Straße" and then immediately turn right to follow the path. Now follow the signs for the Tower Round. Passing green fields and various rows of trees, the path soon leads along the railway tracks to Abensberg. Before that, you cross the river Abens, which gives the town its name. With a view of the Kuchlbauer Tower, you head toward the town square. Via "Graf-Niklas Street" you leave the town towards the so-called Love Island. Through Abensauen and wet meadows, you proceed via Allersdorf (tip: Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary, Allersdorf), the bird park, and idyllic forest paths back towards Bad Gögging.
