Tonbach Rafter Route

Start your route directly at the hotel and go down to the Tonbach via the small Protestant church in the Obere Sonnenhalde. At the bus stop, continue along the left side of the Tonbach, following the beautiful meadows, passing the tennis courts and the water treading pool. At regular intervals, recurring information boards provide insights into the history of the valley and the lives of the people as rafters and charcoal burners.

At the forester's house, return over Tonbachstraße almost to the Landhaus Eickler. From here, go across the meadow, up to the log cabin and further past the Plauderstüble back to the Sonnenhalde.
