Wattwanderung Fam. von Thülen
"I can see when the tide is coming." That is a misconception, and we witness on site how quickly the water arrives. This hike is exciting and also fascinating.
Experience ebb, flow, and life in the mudflats up close The constant change between ebb and flow is one of the most fascinating natural spectacles on earth – and we experience it right in the middle of it! Together, we hike to a tidal creek, a natural waterway in the mudflats, and watch as the tide comes in and the water spreads impressively fast. We clearly demonstrate how the earth, moon, and sun cause the tides and why mudflat hiking can be dangerous without knowledge of the natural conditions. Along the way, we dig out a lugworm, discover shells, crabs, and other exciting inhabitants of the Wadden Sea, and learn how they live here. Experienced mudflat and national park guides accompany you, explain everything in an easy-to-understand way, and are happy to answer your questions.
