Thur River Path (accessible)
In the spring, the forest path is lined on both sides by fields of wild garlic that seem to stretch on forever. A little further on, the trail runs directly alongside the river, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Thur’s sometimes turbulent waters. Back in the forest
,
you come upon a tranquil tributary of the Thur with a wide bank. An ideal spot for a break.
No sooner have you emerged from the forest than the scenery changes, surprising you with an open, dreamlike landscape. Lush meadows, widely scattered fruit trees, and isolated farms in the distance evoke a typical Swiss postcard idyll. At the end of the route, you can bid farewell to the imposing river with a sweeping view from the Thur Bridge in Schönenberg.
