The vast Dürnbucher Forest is a great place to wander through the woods for hours, completely lost to the world. Once you are in the middle, it's hard to get out quickly – and you can truly "forest bathe" far away from all civilization. Nevertheless, humans have left many traces here – some of which are real historical sights: Besides the well-preserved Celtic fort at the very beginning of the tour, the medieval castle site at the Kaltenbrunner Bach also represents a highlight for those interested in archaeology and history. A highlight of nature, on the other hand, is the Kaltenbrunner Bach, which meanders idyllically through the forest with its small tributaries.
The tour begins at the road fork on the northern edge of Berghausen, where you can, for example, park at a suitable spot on the roadside below the playground. We take the road leading up to the left, then follow it turning right, and after 700 m from the town edge reach a five-way intersection. Now we go diagonally right towards the forest in front of us and along its right edge to a bee house. Shortly after the bee house, we follow the forest road diagonally left into the forest and watch for the few and poorly visible small hiking signs with the number 14 attached to trees, signaling we are on the correct way to the Celtic fort. The forest road turns right and leads into a hollow; immediately afterwards, we turn left. Now we must not turn right up immediately, but continue straight until a clearing in the forest becomes visible on the left. Only then do we turn right uphill and at a fork shortly afterward keep left; shortly after, the Celtic fort located on our left is reached. We go
