Three ruins - Rauheneck - Karlshöhle - Königshöhle - Scharfeneck - Rauhenstein

Starting from the Rauhenstein bus stop along the Schwechat, follow the marked path to the Rauheneck ruin with the ascent of its tower. From there towards the Königshöhle cave. When descending to this, briefly branch down to the Karlshöhle cave on a small path and then back up to reach the Königshöhle. Now down into the ravine and ascend path 04 about 250 meters to turn right onto a forest road. Follow this for about one kilometer to then go left up the next ravine. After about 0.3 km, turn right to a clear-cut area where there is a hunting stand to the left. Then right slightly downhill to a barely visible small path branching right. Follow this down to the Scharfeneck ruin (hidden in the forest, best with GPS device). From there, take one of the overgrown paths to a forest road in the ravine leading to the Schwechat. After the Beethofenwandl near the Urtelstein, cross the bridge. Shortly on the road past Jammerpepi and at the fork after the house, go left uphill to the marked path towards the Rauhenstein ruin including the Einsiedlhöhle cave. From there down back to the starting point.
